The story
Nick Cannon has said that he and Kim Kardashian dated briefly in 2006 and that the relationship became serious from his perspective. In a spring 2007 follow-up interview, Kim Kardashian said that she and Nick Cannon had always been friends and had never been a couple. The available evidence supports 2006 as the start of Cannon's claimed dating period, but does not reliably establish that the relationship continued into 2007.
